Tee Moo-ffin - Noun

Ty Mwffin

Handcrafted baking - from the Welsh Coast to your table!

Ty Mwffin is a small batch artisan bakery founded by head baker Jane, built on seasonal foraging and local produce from the lush Preseli hills to the Pembrokeshire coast. While our name celebrates our moist muffins at the heart, the kitchen also produces buttery French friands, crumble bakes and traditional Welsh recipes - all designed to make people feel truly good!

A dedicated gluten free range is available that never compromises on flavour (nb not coeliac)

You can order in boxes of 6, and choose any combination of flavours you fancy, including sweet, savoury and gluten free options. Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery nationwide, usually next day, or pickup from my home in Fishguard or at Fishguard Market. A lovely gift for friends and family, valued customers and colleagues, a picnic or a relaxed gathering. If you would like a special message or gift wrapping, it's included free!
Ty Mwffin is simply Muffin House in Welsh! The Welsh language is phonetic, and once you know the alphabet, it is easier to pronounce than you might think. Ty is pronounced 'Tee', Mwffin ' Mooffin'.

About our Ingredients

Pembrokeshire is rich with a wealth of quality producers of fine foods. I am proud to be supplied by Trebover Eggs (free range), Carningli Dairy and Pencw Cheese from just up the road, Pant Mawr Cheeses from the Preseli Hills a few miles away, raspberries, rhubarb, gooseberries and blueberries when in season. Delicious plants such as wild garlic for my pesto, and blackberries for an autumn special, are waiting to be foraged during a walk in the woods and nearby Gwaun valley. I love to carefully pick seaweeds after a swim, and always ensure I forage in a sustainable manner to protect the environment and wildlife. I use my dehydrator to create seaweed powders from dulse, bladder wrack and kelp, in order to preserve the mineral properties. There is even a seaweed called 'mermaids pubes'! (more politely known as wrack syphon weed).

If you love sweet treats, I aim to showcase delightful flavours such as rich dark chocolate, almonds, juicy raspberries, blueberries and lemons, all with lovely soft centres made with jams, compotes and frangipane. I will have seasonal specials on a regular basis so keep an eye out for limited edition bakes as I'm inspired by the ingredients around me and my customer's ideas.

If savoury is more your taste, you'll love the flavours of foraged wild garlic, seasonal organic vegetables from my allotment and local producers, strong Pant Mawr cheddar and Pencw creamy Caerphilly , and hand picked seaweeds.
